No. It's important to know before you make your purchase that you are not buying your equipment from CarStereo.com. CarStereo.com is a directory of car audio retailers, manufacturers, installers and other businesses related to the car audio and electronics industry. We do not sell car stereo equipment. When you purchase something that you found in a directory or advertisement at this site, you are purchasing it from that retailer whose site you clicked into. We recommend that you know whom you are purchasing it from and that you retain printed copies of all sales receipts from your transaction.

Does CarStereo.com approve and recommend the dealers that are advertising on this site?
We do not do any background checks on our advertisers or make any recommendations of one retailer over another. It is the responsibility of the purchasers to make this determination for themselves. The Product Directory and the ranking system in Top Car Stereo Websites is paid advertising, and is not to be mistaken for a rating based on quality, price or customer satisfaction records.

What about warranties?
You'll want to check with the retailer or the manufacturer regarding warranties on products purchased from retailers found at CarStereo.com. CarStereo.com does not sell any car stereo equipment and therefore is not responsible for any warranties on that equipment.

I need to contact the dealer I purchased my stereo from. Can you tell me who it was?
No. Once you click any link at CarStereo.com to purchase any product that is displayed, you are now at the retailer's website. All sales are handled individually through that retailer. CarStereo.com receives no sales information

Forum and Classifieds

Who can post to the forum?
Any one that wants to discuss car audio or related topics may post to the forum. The forum is free and no membership is required. Inappropriate, off-topic, and abusive posts will be removed, and if necessary the poster will be banned. All decisions of removed posts are completely at the discretion of CarStereo.com management.

If I post a question to your forum, will I get good advice from a knowledgeable installer or dealer?
Our forum is visited by quite a few knowledgeable and reputable people in the car audio industry. However, it is a public use forum and we do not restrict anyone from using it unless they are abusive in their posting. We suggest that you check the source of any advice you receive, and if in doubt get a second opinion from a local dealer or installer in your area. CarStereo.com is not responsible in any way for any advice given out in the CarStereo.com Forum.

Who can post a classified ad?
Any member can post mobile electronics related merchandise for sale in the classified ads. The ads are $9.95 for 90 days. All members placing classified ads agree to be bound by our Classified Ads Rules. These rules are available for viewing on the page that must be filled in before placing the ad. These include the following:

• Any ads found to be intentionally misleading, or appearing to be for one product when you are really selling another, will be removed without prior warning and without a refund.
• Any sellers that even suggest the use of an escrow service that we suspect to be fraudulent will have all of their ads removed without prior warning and without a refund.
• Any sellers that are obviously repeat offenders from previous fraudulent activities will have all of their ads removed without prior warning and without a refund.

CarStereo.com provides these classifieds as a service to our members, however, we retain the right to refuse and/or delete ads. All decisions of removed or refused ads are completely at the discretion of CarStereo.com management.

Who am I buying from in the Carstereo.com classified ads?
If you buy a product that is advertised for sale in our classified ads, you are making a purchase from a member that has placed the ad. You are NOT making a purchase from CarStereo.com, or even from any of our paid advertisers. All contact through our classified ads is done at your own risk.
