JVC LAUNCHES NEW HX SERIES COAXIAL MOBILE SPEAKERS|
LAS VEGAS CES (Booth # N221/N222) January 5, 2006 A new six-model line of coaxial mobile audio speakers was announced today by JVC. The new JVC HX Series features a high power handling, smooth frequency response and a new design.
Power handling is up thanks to the use of neodymium and strontium magnets. In addition, the speakers feature free edge cones for the mid range drivers, which lowers middle frequency peaks to deliver flatter overall response. Meanwhile, metal sputtering olefin woofer cones provide strength with improved sound quality.
JVCs HX Series is comprised of two 6 x 9-inch models, one 6 x 8-inch model, two 6 ½-inch models, and one 5 ¼-inch model. Maximum power handling ranges from 220 to 500 watts. Cosmetically, the new HX Series speakers feature grilles with a frame that sweeps toward the center of the speaker creating the impression of a swirl.
