can this amp power 3 12w6's or would 3 12w3v2's be better? and also ported or sealed for these speakers

I use a 500/1 to drive 3 12w3's right now. I couldn't be happier with this amp or the performance of the woofers driven by it. I run 3 dual 4 Ohm drivers wired to 2.66 Ohm's. The R.I.P.S sytem in these amp's make sure I'm getting all the power I paid for, Clean, at any impedence. I have to be honest with you, I tune this subwoofer system to be realisticly in tune with the rest of the system, but JL obviously has a reputaion to play hard if you want. To get the best of "naturalist" and "Bass head", I bought the extra remote bass control. 0-15 dB at 20-85 Hz, with bandwith as well. All that control in a knob installed discretly in my overhead console.

so then how should i wire 3 12w6 dual 6ohm? seriers/parrellel? and as far as boxes go should i go with seperate enclosers or all one open space? ported/sealed

You'll need to wire them in a combination of series and parallel. Wire the VC's in parallel and the subs in series, you can do it any way you want as long as you come out with a 1.5-4ohm load. You definitely need to seperate the enclosures for each sub.
