 - - - Alpine DVA-9861 questions...

I am interested in upgrading my head unit, I have a 1997 GMC jimmy, it came with a pioneer head unit and I want to upgrade. I want a flip up DVD player and I like the Alpine DVA-9861 but I had a few questions about it... 1) I know you cant watch DVD's when in drive but can you have the screen flipped up and play CD's while in drive? 2) Anyone who has this head unit, do you like it and what pros/cons do you have. 3) Does this particular alpine head unit have good features? thanks so much
