Saturn Upgrade's First Flex Vid
Posted by Pioneer~Saturn on 05-19-2009 03:07 PM:

Hey guys,

The upgrade's complete to a point that it's playable but there's still work to be done to make it look better and to also seal it off from the trunk. It has plenty more in it, I can see gaining about 2 db wouldnt be out of grasp.

Already in the 150 db club with brand-new subs and the trunk not sealed off from the cabin : )

Enjoy (Song is Jeezy - Burnin Up)

Ok now let's be brave and close the doors and seal them with tape and then let er rip lol

Ive already seen that lol...full-tilt on 40Hz tone with someone sitting on the sunroof weighing like 240 pounds...it moved him a good amount, lol

Thanks. Pulled a 150.0 @ 40Hz last Sunday : )

And it has plenty more in it..that was with brand-new subs, the trunk not sealed off from the cabin, and everything around the enclosure not filled in and smoothed down with fiberglass and body filler...should see healthy gains in the future ; )

also buy sealing off everything the peak freq will go up a lil most likely

Yea, thought as much. Hopefully I will start sealing off tomorrow

That car is done. I give it 100 miles before the wheels fall off. Great job!!!!!

Haha, thanks. It runs perfectly though...I wouldnt be surprised if it sees a good 80k+ miles before any real issues start

it sould only go up to say 41-45 not bad and you might actually loose spl buy changeing the frq. but unless your a die hard chaseing tenths you should be fine and it does look good

Thanks. And yea, im in Super Street 1-2 with a daily driver setup tuned pretty darn low : ( I need all the output I can get.

Posted by mc on 05-20-2009 04:59 PM:

ya I fall into the street max 3-4 hope to get a 156-7 on the 6th

Posted by Pioneer~Saturn on 05-20-2009 06:08 PM:

Cool cool. Good luck. Im hoping to get louder though so I can keep up with competition vehicles in my daily driver, lol. The back half of the ceiling may get supported, smoothed out, and painted to make it a bit better than the flapping cloth that would go there.

BASS

Do your windows leak yet? I just have 2 12's in my PT. The last rain we had here I started to see wanter marks going down the inside of my back window. Had to reseal it.

Posted by Pioneer~Saturn on 05-21-2009 12:47 PM:

Thanks guys, im very happy with it especially for a daily driver setup tuned so low (it destroys the lows : ) )

And the only thing im worried about is the sunroof really...it moves a ton on the low stuff and it's had a bit of a leaking issue ever since the first 18 was in, im just hoping it doesnt get completely pushed out of its seal or worse...

Posted by ejcusa1 on 05-21-2009 02:27 PM:

put some vaseline on the seals. The seals on your sun roof will swell up a little with the vaseline and seal better.

Posted by Pioneer~Saturn on 05-21-2009 08:35 PM:

I dont think that'll keep it sealed..there was a 240+ pound buddy of mine sitting on my sunroof for the past comp and it was really moving him off the window a good bit, he said he couldnt see the score board during the burp, lol...I think there's just too much force for just some vaseline to help : ( Even though that was a full-bore burp pretty much it would take a lot of force to keep it from moving the way it does

Anything that would be on the paint would have to be something that wouldnt leave any kind of mark...I really have taken care of this car and simply wont do stuff to it that'll have even a chance of leaving stuff on the paint etc.
