 - - - Need help with box design

Well i have 2 cvr102 2 ohm subs and i have a box for them but i plan on changing up my setup in my car. I want to build 2 separate boxes and have the speakers on either side of my trunk and was wondering what would be the best way to go about this. the box that they are in now is a ported one. SO should i plan on porting each of the new ones or go with a non ported. This is my first go around at this type of thing and will be a learning experience for me. Any help would be greatly Appreciated.

the tuning is the same regardless of where the port faces. the issue with port placement is the combination of the port output and the sub output.
