What are going to use it for,If youre going to talk citizens band, youll definately need an antenna, you probably dont need it for the PA.If you want to be heard youll want a good antenna. If your pretty into it,get a Astatic D-104 handheld mic, theyre awesome for modulation. Also Cobra and Uniden are both good radios,Ive never been fond of Midland though.http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=48695&item=5720636966&rd=1..............If you just want a cheap radio this ine would be fine,Ive used these many of times.........http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=40055&item=5720506471&rd=1..................This is also a good one........http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=40055&item=5720018355&rd=1............For the PA you can buy speakers that plug right in to the back of the unit.
