I instaled my first system in my 67' Camaro,it was a underdash Pioneer Supertuner 8 track-Pioneer 6x9's on the back decklid,5.25's in the doors.It was a 4-channel,it was also 1973.The Supertuner turned into a Clarion underdash unit with a slide mount with a loudness button and Clarions' first underdash powerbooster EQ-5 bands,fader,30 watts rms x 4.[1976].My first Alpine cassette unit for me was a pre-amp $539 #7307 [1980]2 Alpine amps #3002 4-channel and a 2 channel amp for the subs.Back then the shops built your crossovers right there at the shop.They did the math,wound the coils,installed the caps.The car -1976 Grand Prix 50 year Anniversary Edition--in gold.The doors-6.5 woofers/4"mid-range and ferro-fluid tweeters.Subs were 10" free-air Becker.$3,500.00install. I was 22 years old,from the East-Bay-Califonia.I got back into car-audio in 2005.My current source unit for 3 years Alpine 9847--Alpine pdx1000.1,pdx 150 x 4, 2 type 'R' 12" subs wired to 2 ohms,vented enclosure,[I've done the JL route 10/12w1's,13w3-3-4's and last but not least,12w6's ported custom box.I still have the w6's,the 'R's hir harder and go a bit louder] type 'R' 6.5" co-ax's [4] and Type 'R' components 6.5" in a 2002 Nissan Altima.I turned 50 this April,my system is all Alpine,I live in Alpine California...therefore....Alpine50..Thank you for visiting....
