Look into the Panasonic counterpart as well.  I picked mine up for like $50 (which at the time was a whole lot less than the Alpine version.  The only difference is on the optical end there are 2 plastic clips that you'll need to trim off...but no big deal.

I hear you there...I'll eventually get the PXAH701 installed back in my car soon hopefully...it looks so lonely sitting there in my garage.  At least it gets to hang out with all the other gear waiting to go in though.  There just isn't enough time in the day to get everything done.
