Folks, anytime you have a strong leader, like me, you are going to have some opposition. I have had to admonish this young man several times and he may be feeling a little rebellious. I am sure that Banging is aware that if I am chosen as a moderator I will not put up with any foolishness whatsoever when it comes to ranking the installs. I have been very vocal about this and Banging knows where this candidate stands -- no cheating by anyone! Every install will be judged on its merits - period. If an install is not up to snuff, it will lose. I know that Banging looks up to me as he corresponds with me by e-mail.

I have been a member here for over a year now, and have won my share of trophies and H2H's. I too have fell victim to vote tampering and shady dealings here online. The idea to only allow members to vote is something I would support. But to take it to another level. I would only want people who have faces to vote. My picture, however goofy it appears, is really me, photoshopped. I will submit my actual picture to prove who I am. RoadTrippin', whoever he/she is, has never taken the mask off. We don't know who he/she is.
Verified installs only should be able to compete. This rules out anyone who is able to post up pictures of cars that don't belong to them. If you really did the work, or had someone do the work for you (as in my case), you should have the car available to you to post with a verification picture. If not, then you cannot compete for points. Those points are wasted points that could be given to a verified install instead. Also I would suggest that in order to even receive points, your car must be verified first. That will keep it from being an install that gains complete domination in points then getting verified later. I myself have been guilty in this, but not because I didn't own the car, but because in the beginning, I didn't know how to verify.
During registration, make it a point that if they subject pictures of their install, from the very first one uploaded, that there be a verification note on how to verify and how to submit. Also notify them of the time it would take to verify the install pictures.
All these points have not been addressed as far as I can see, yet they are valid and should be considered. Thanks for listening.
I would like to be considered for moderator because I am an active competitor in USAC, competing in the Intermediate Consumer SQ 601+, have qualified for the USAC World Finals and through this website, asked to compete as a member of the Focal SQ Team. So to moderate the activities of this site, I have no qualms about taking my install off, or having a Moderator's gallery, not to be voted on, to show that we indeed know what we are talking about. I think that Timekeeper should be considered as a moderator simply for his accomplishments in Car Audio. He, along with Evilbass, are only a few of the true World Championship winning installs on this site. I am hoping to be included in that accomplishment soon. Timekeeper's accomplishments should be considered here too.
Sorry for the long post, but it seems that everyone has a suggestion, just some needed further insight on why they were being suggested. Thanks for listening. --Joe

First of all, let me set the record straight. I am NOT Bassaholic. I say this not so much in response to OnYrMrk's post, but rather in respone to an e-mail that I received from Banging. In that e-mail Banging seemed to be, shall we say, upset. The e-mail was filled with profanity that seemed to result from his belief that I am Bassaholic. Again, I am not Bassaholic. I have never rigged an install competition. Heck, I have never even voted in an install competition on this site. Anyway, if anyone wants to see a copy of Banging's e-mail, just let me know. But do not open it if children are around.

Honestly, I agree it is getting a little old. As I a matter of fact, I was just about to retire when you joined in the other evening acting as though we had shared some pm about my identity. My post wasn't directed toward you RT, but rather someone else on this site. If you are indeed that person, it wouldn't surprise me, but that is something you will have to live with. As for your picture, we do not know who you are, so post up a picture of yourself. Why hide behind a mask. As a very wise Giant of Old once said..."People in masks can't be trusted." Does someone else want to explain it to her? No Shannon, I have never threatened anyone on this site. I assume that you have just skimmed over the "cousin thread." If you go back and read it, you will clearly see that it was a joke. Even at that, what exactly was the "threat?" To send in pictures in "fighting poses" and have the members decide a winner. I don't think that I tried real hard to disguise the fact it was all joke. And yes, I do think it's moronic to threaten people over the internet. Go back and look at the number of threats I have received. Now go back and look at the number of times I responded in kind. I bet it is not exactly what you expect to find. Now, can I please be your moderator? Please, please, please? I REALLY want to moderate.

Here on the Internet we get people that spew bullshit from the safety of their own home all the time. We call them E-Thugs as Shannon done mentioned.
