What is the best speaker

I just wanted to know what would be the BEST 2 channel 6.5 speaker for the high range. That could handle an amp well too. I have a 160w amp that is going to power 4 speakers. Thanks Hilldo

If ur looking for the best 6.5", Alpine type r's are the way to go. They even pound good w/out an amp.

DON'T BUY THE TYPE-R's. The Type X's are very good, but don't use alpine drivers. Check into focal, boston acoustics, MB Quart, Image Dynamics, or rainbow. I have some BA 6.5 component sets for sale. Let me know if you're intersted. Email me, StephenDavis@satx.rr.com

If your looking for top knotch sound quality speakers then your gonna be spending a pretty penny because they dont come cheap. I would say the most cost effective would be the Infinity Kappa line. But if you can afford something like MB Quartz or Focal then by all means go for it, you will be able to hear the difference.

Best speaker?? it is like asking me what type of person do you like to go out with, The best speakers are not the most expensive ones or the cheap ones, it is the ones that you..only you like after listening to it. I cannot simply advise you what speakers you can go for, as others have recommended a few name brand to make life easy for you, but sorry mate, you will have to do your homework by going to audition some speakers. Remember, the speakers you like, will be music to your ears! so go out and stop, look and listen! Good luck Mate!
