Any old school IASCA guys out there?

Were any of you guys around in the late 80's early 90's and remember "Bumpin" Bob Bentley's red BMW 325 coupe? My boss traded a Porche for that car about 15 years ago and has had it in storage. His son just turned 16 not to long ago and it is now his. The system is in pretty bad shape, the trunk has been gutted and most of the one-off stuff is gone or broken. It had the very 1st Rockford Fosgate Symetry, Sony 4" monitors, Sony Digital 8 VCP and TV tuner. When this stuff was new, it was like $1000 a piece!! I will post some pics when we get it going again. If you want some pics emailed to you, let me know your email address and I will get them right over to you.............Jason

I competed in iasca in 91 & 92,in my local area.I have a sound challenge magazine from 1992(which was iasca's magazine back then)it has A small pic.of that bmw in it,and a pic of richard clarks buick, i dont remember where i got this magazine from, but it was when i first learned that iasca had the masters competitions, where i think you had to compete on the circuit for a certain amount of time just to be invited to it.I love checking out the vehicles and systems that where the top dogs back then some pretty cool stuff.

Yea I competed back in 93-96...but then again you know this...Man anyway, you built that Taurus, and yes, I remember Bumpin Bob and his BMW. That rockford symetry was the one with the hot swappable components, server style right?

You are right. Wayne built this one by hand for him and it looked like a desk top computer. Although the piece is not in the car anymore, Rob still has it, and it works like a champ!
