  Got a Alpine IVA-D310 but ....

Hi guys !! ok so i got this alpine IVA-D10 headunit from ebay, but it came without the big external "brain", i didnt know that it was part of it, i found out reading some stuff about the unit. Mi Q. is do i need the external brain for the head unit to work ?? or can i manage to make it work ?? a friend told me that the external brains is for hooking up peripheral devices such monitors, game consoles, etc. apreciate any help thanks Jesus Vega

if you don't have a brain and cables it is useless. see if you can find what you need at a local stereo shop. more that likely it is stolen,and they didn't get the brain.

X2, I have that unit and with out the brain box you can't do anything. Good luck with that.
