Typicality with Jensen the wire just needs to see a ground, there is no switching and if you shut the vehicle off you don't need to reset them. If this is the way yours is set up then just ground it but run it through a toggle under the dash anyway in case you get pulled over.

What color is the wire and what does the manual state it needs to be hooked to?

The wire is pink and is suppose to be hooked to the ebrake's power wire

That is supposed to see a negitive switch. The wire is positive and when you apply the ebrake it switches to neg. How were you grounding it?

I grounded it to the body, I also have been trying to use a switch. Just so you know to get the video to play you have to do a e brake sequence.

 toggle switch

i just had some local audio shop install it. it ended up just being a toggle switch. The ebrake wire is hooked up to it. and all you do is switch it from off to on for a sec pause 1 sec then of on again and bam it works.
