Panasonic Head Unit not Powering ON in '01 Honda Civic

Hello, This is Panasonic model CQ-C1303U connected wiring harness color for color. Inserted antenna plug into the back made sure all connections were secure. Turned on the ignition key and nothing (believe me I press the PWR button many times). The amp fuse isn't blown either I tried a couple of trouble shooting like leaving some 'power' wires disconnected and then powering on with nothing happening. Tried leaving just one wire disconnected (black ground or yellow battery 12v+ or red acc 12v+) and still nothing. Very frustruated at this point I just think it may be a bad unit. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Get a test light, it will show you where the power is, the color of wires may not mean it goes to the other.

Make sure you have power on both your red and yellow wires (typically your ACC and constant power wires, respectively). Mine would not power on because my constant power wire was not getting power, but my ACC was with the car turned on. I put the yellow and red leads from my head unit to my red(ACC) lead from the car and boom power. However, i still have the problem of no memory cuz of the stupid 12 volt constant only putting out .33 volts....

My bad forgot to mention the wires are labelled on both ends corresponding to the colors also. Yellow wire from car (12v battery/constant (12v+) to yellow wire cd battery 15a. Red wire from car 12v ignition/switch 12v+ to red wire cd acc power lead. Then of course car black wire chassis ground 12v - to car black ground lead wire. If I'm totally off on this let me know it's been many many years! All the other wires are just speakers and I have no amp to connect it to! Thanks!

Musicmeister your comment helped althought in my case both of my red and yellow wires from head unit connected to the yellow constant wire so hopefully the PWR won't just place the player into standy mode leaving the power on and draining the battery; or to take the safe route having to remove the faceplate each and every time. If it really gets to me I can always purchase a new cd harness maybe and start from scratch. At this point I'm just glad it's working at the moment, props!

No problem, although that sounds like it will most definitely drain your battery if you forget to power off your cd player, but oh well! Now somehow i screwed myself over by shorting something in my RAV4 (all my 12V constants are dead...) If you guys know where the stupid fuse or trip to this is (or most likely where it would be?) i'd be much appreciated.
