 Computer running at 100 percent...always

My other friend's computer runs fine for awhile, then just runs like complete shit. It'll run fine, boot fine, etc. After awhile, it takes forever to boot, games run choppy, and the CPU usage claims 100. The RAM tests out fine, the PSU runs fine, everything. drivers are updated, software patched. Could it be the processor getting really warm? I've exhausted all ideas. Thanks.

have you done a msconfig and turned off all the crap that loads when the computer starts to relive some of the start up lag?

God damnit, I am going to kick his ass. We were in the processing of reseating everything, when I unplugged the CPU fan...and noticed it was near "CASE FAN". Plugged it in the one designated for CPU...boom, computer keeps the CPU nice and cool..and usage dropped like a rock.

Yep! Sometimes those fans go bad and after time they don't spin as fast as they should. Glad to hear you fixed it
