wireing help
well i posted in the installation section but didnt get a good response so ill try here.
i need some info on how to wire 2- 6x9's to a 2 channel amp. i already have subs and and amp so im guessing ill use a distribution block for the power and run the RCA from the one amp to the other. but i have a question about the 6X9's how do i wire them do i have 2 wires go to the amp from the speakers and then the two that usually connect to the speakers from the head unit to the amp as well? any help will be apreciated

One amp+two 6x9's... wire left channel positive and negative to the positive and negative terminals on one 6x9 then repeat the same on the other. Do NOT hook up the deck's speaker leads to the speakers when running them off of an external amplifier. Run one set of RCA's to the amplifier from the deck.

agreed, you MUST disconnect the 6x9s from the headunit if your using an external amplifier. you will probably want to tape off the leads coming from the HU as well, just so they dont short to ground, or each other out.
But the 6x9 setup is probably one of the easiest you can do. simply wire one speaker to one channel (marked is positive) and the other speaker to the second channel (marked is positive as well). and boom, so long as you got your power, remote, ground, and RCAs, your flyin.

thanks alot so i just connect the wire from the speakers to the amp. so is the rca sending the signal that the wires from the head unit were providing?

yes, but the RCAs are a 'clean' version, the amp amplifies this 'clean' version much better than the amp in the HU can.
