ok, so here is the story. my brother has(had) a 94 ford probe gt. i bought a 93 probe gt about a month ago. he broke a few conection rods and is now going to send it to the junk yard. the guy he bought it from had a car alarm installed by best buy. how do i go about uninstalling it and putting it in my car?
well you have to disarm the dash and all those goodies, and then disconect all the connections from the alarm, remove every single wire that was connected, taped, splice or in any way installed on that vehicle. remove the siren, and ofcourse the brain and shock sensor and other sensors if it had any.
after youve done that, get the model number from the alarm brain, and search for a installation manual for that manufctr and model #, that will tell you wich wire means what and how should it be connected.
then get a wire diagram for your car, with all the information like ignition wires, door trigers and all that stuff you have to know in order to conect what the alarm manual says to the wires you have in your car...
and thats pretty much about it.
