99 merc. mountaineer, what options do i have?

i have a 99 mercury mountaineer, it has a remote with a panic button and lock and unlock, and it has the keyless entry pad on the outside, but it dosnt have an alarm i guess, like u can pull the handle and everything and no alarm My question is, Is there some kind of setting on the car that id be able to turn the alarm on? or does it just not have one if not, Im looking for a Quality alarm system, im looking for a system that has the pager remote that shows what part of the car has been open and beeps and what not, and also how like if u push on the door or the hood it has the motion sensor that dosnt make the alarm go off fully it just makes it beep..would also be cool if it had a remote start

the way to test for a factory alarm is roll down the drivers window then with the remote control lock the vehicle. After about a min or so reach in the open window and open the door from the inside to see if the alarm goes off. This recreates a theif breaking your window and reaching in to open the door. As far as combo alarm/remote start units I like Crimestopper and Ultrastart, I'm not a fan of DEI (viper, python, clifford, Avital).

I have had 2 DEI Python Alarm/Remote start combo's in the past .I feel that the Crimestopper combo I currently use is better than the DEI.
