 wiring problem

Have a 99 grand am. Had an aiwa mp3 deck in it for about 5 years.......suddenly now dead. Checked the fuses, all looks fine. Assumption: Deck dead. Bought a new deck. Wired it up.....and also, nothing (no power). Stuck a volt meter on it and am getting about 14.25mV. From the plug with the new deck, the volts are going crazy, all over the place. Anyone with ideas?

UPDATE: Looks like it is my yellow wire that is not getting a signal. Red is getting about 14.6 volts. Fuses look fine (99 Grand AM). Not sure what to do next. Any ideas? Thanks

Anyone have any idea what supplies power to the yellow wire? Or where I should look to find out why it is not getting power (fuses are all fine). THanks.

yellow wire is constant power from batt. red wire is switched power from ignition. I would say run a new wire from the batt.
