 4 Channel...change or not?

I just changed all speakers in my car to the Polk Momo series...the front components are rated at 125 RMS and the ones at the back are a 100 RMS. I'm powering them with a 4 Channel Blaupunkt with the following specs; RMS@4 ohms 4x70 / 2x200 watts RMS@2 ohms 4x100 watts Do you guys think I'm underpowering them and can get better sound if I change my amp? If so, what amps do you guys recommend and what should be a good power for these speakers? Thanks...

if you're speakers are seen at the amp as 2ohms, then 100 watts rms should be good enough for those speakers. I would say generally 100 watts for 4 channels rms is good enough...anything higher and the next gadget you'll be getting is Miracle Ear!!

now if you were trying to power those speakers with your head unit, then I would say that yes you would be seriously underpowering those speakers.

Thanks...how can I be sure that the amp is seeing a 2Ohm load? Are these speakers capable of handling that? I thought the 2 Ohm would only work for a subwoofer and you can't wire these speakers at 2 Ohm?

you can wire say, left 2 speakers in parallel for a 2 ohm load( most speakers are single 4ohm) but that kind of creates a mono-ish effect
