 two w3's or 1 w6?

I was all set to get the jl 12w6 w/ a jl 500/1 amp. But I am now debating between two 12w3's and a 500/1 amp..Do you guys think 1 w6 or 2 W3's are the way to go??

Well my original plan was more space in the trunk then the two 12's i have now...so the single w6 will give me that as well

I'd say go with the single W6, you yourself said you wanted more space, and that would give you more space yet keeping some bass in the trunk. But if you don't care about the trunk space, I'd say the W3s. Both will have SQ, W6 beating the W3s, and I'm not too sure about output, I wanna say the W6 would get almost as loud as the w3s in well made enclosure but haven't really "toyed" with them, just heard friends cars with them. Oh well good luck with your choice.

Get a single 13w6. It moves 89% more air than a 12w6. So for the money, a single 13w6 is the way to. go.http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_subs_pages.php?page_id=210 Here is the link to JL's site that shows the graph of all the 13.5" drivers compared to the 12".

No pre-fabs for a 13w6. You will want to have one built. They do have a sealed 12w6w/sealed box from JL. http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_enclosures.php?menu=6&prod_id=306 And a HO box with a 12w6http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_enclosures_pages.php?menu=2&page_id=19

The HO box sounds very good and gets VERY loud. Out of all the choices, I would still do a 13w6 in a custom ported box.

I just have to find a place/person to custom build one...I am still considering the 12w6 in a HO box...I am going to check it out over the weekend...I am planning on pushing either the 13w6 or 12w6 with a 500/1...Should be enough power correct?
