 do i want the DVC 2 ohm or DVC 4 ohm?

im about to order two 12 inch alpine type R's. do i want the DVC 2 ohm or DVC 4 ohm. im going to be getting this amp to power them: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14926 thanks.

for the specs for the amp its saying 1000Watt RMS at 2 ohms at 14.4 volts. dosnt the battery only put out 12 volts? so i will not get the full 1000 watts?

hmm not sure about the voltage there... but you definitely want the dvc 2 ohm subs, otherwise you wouldn't be able to get down to 2 ohms, the only options for two 4 ohm dvc is either 1 or 4.

ya it is weird becuase it list it 700 watt RMS at 12 volts and 1000 watt RMS at 14.4 volts so im prob just going ot go with a hifonics that puts out 1100 watt at 2 ohms.
