 SQ EQ settings

Well im looking to really make my sound to be perfect, right its sounding good, but i still think it can be better. I test mine using a bose cd that came with my home audio system. So basically i have a Pioneer Premier DEH-P860MP head unit, which i use as an EQ, and i want to know which settings for the EQ curve, or any other settings you recommend in order to have a perfect sound. I mean a clear bass and all that. (i am going to enter a competition, want to have it hte best as possible) thx, dan
