  wiring probs.

what up? i need help wiring up this car stereo i got. its a boss cd-3125r. im just like testing this thing out. im tryin to power it up with jus the battery alone. i connect the yellow wire to positive post of battery, and the black to negative of battery. do i need to wire anything else? well when i do all that, the fuse keeps blowin out. i dont know whats the deal.

Add some wire to the existing wire then take the red and yellow to positive, then black to negative.... i dont like running that much power straigt to a head unit twist some extra wiring on the red, yellow, black.

Yes, you'll need to hook up the red one to + on the battery too.

Make sure no other wires are touching eachother or the chasis of the unit.

So you hooked up the black to - and the red and yellow to +12 and it's not powering up? Is your fuse intact? If so, it's probably DOA.
