okay so i just bought a 7inch alpine tv(iva-d310) from some crack head that came into my job but theres no wires and i have no idea what i need and what i should buy. can anyone point me in the right direction and give me some information on this unit....it would be greatly appreciated

Well, sounds like some genius pulled out all of the wires from the harness...you may have to find a wiring harness for it online/at a store selling them besuase otherwise youd have to solder your own wires into the correct sections in the back of the headunit, which could get really ugly really fast

well heres the deal i looked on ebay and found a bunch of wiring harnesses for sale but i wasnt sure if that was the only thing i need. do i need a brain for it or can i buy just the harness. what does the brain do? and does anyone know of any cool features they could tell me.

get ahold of alpine and they have those kind of thing in stock.  also check with X-scopion they re-produce wire harness for decks.

but be careful what you tell alpine because that deck sounds very hot. at times they will ask you for the serial number when things like that are needed.

The D310 uses a control box the head is no use without this box.

To make that unit fully functional, you'll need a brain, main wiring harness (for brain), secondary wiring harness (for indash monitor), and the D/A converter box.  Expect to spend at least $300-400 or more to get that unit working.
