 Need help hooking up an Eclipse AVN 7000

I'm hooking this up in my new car and I had a shop put it in my other car so my questions are, there are two wires, a purple and white wire that is a Vehicle speed pulse signal wire.  Then there is a red and white wire that is a Parking brake signal wire.  I want to be able to play DVD's and Navigate while driving and not have the restrictions of actually hooking it up like the manuals say.  Where should I hook these wires up too???  Thanks

From what I can find, that model eclipse will work by just grounding the brake light wire.
