 KVT-617DVD

I recently installed a Kenwood KVT-617DVD. The subwoofer works fine but I am not getting any sound out of the speakers (they are hooked up to the unit not an amp). Also when I play a dvd it just shows the control screen, no picture. I took my time and made sure I hooked up up everything right... Any ideas??

Hey how did you hook everything up?? I just installed this in my truck and when i power it on i get a message saying that there is a wire thats not connected. I know i did not connect the yellow and black wire on the brain end of the harness. I also did not connect the reverse wire. Im not sure where to hook up these wires. I also grounded the parking brake wire to the ground in the dash harness. I dont know if thats the right place to ground it but thats where it is.

If you can give me some insight on to what and where things need to be connected i would be greatly appreciated! Im sorry I cant really help you with your question but i was hoping you could help me with mine since youve done this before. thanks in advance!
