 Finally got my car :)

I ended up getting a 2006 Saturn Ion Redline :). The supercharger is a beast on it. Plus it's got ALOT of trunk space, so I shall be putting a nice system in there.

The car is getting detailed right now so I gotta wait before I can take pictures.

are you getting racing stripes painted on or having vinyls installed??

My friend who recently got a 2008 california special gt mustang got his 12" dual racing stripes painted this time instead of vinyls. He said that the vinyls always became discolored and a lot of trouble to keep clean when washing his car:

Looks good, did he put headers and a cat-back exhaust on it?

That sounds incredibly ricer. "headers and a cat-back exhaust"... come on now.

You do know that cat back exhuast systems are just everything from the cat and back. That doesnt mean they are special. Hell, often some of those "kits" are terrible. Saying "headers and a cat-back exhuast" is a waste of words. You may as well just ask if he redid the exhaust system.

If hes got a supercharger like this, he had better have redone the exhuast from the engine back.

he still has the factory exhausts, but is considering quieter higher performance exhausts.  With his previous 2005 S197, he took out the cats and had magnaflow exhausts and they drowned out his supercharger!

I wouldnt have expected this car NOT to have a fully rebuilt exhaust. You would have to be incredibly dumb not to with that kind of hardware.

why are you telling him to grow up, nothing he said was immature or incorrect. but with the supercharger you need to put at least 3" exhaust on it or you're gonna pop some valves. they don't like heat. also i don't see a inter cooler, you're barley going to gain any horse power without one because all you doing is rushing hot air into you're engine. for anyone that doesn't know, when air is pressurized it gets hot. the inter cooler, cools it down. the cooler it is, the more oxygen it holds. the more oxygen the bigger explosion in the detonation chamber creating more horse power.

also did he upgrade his injectors? ECU? MAF? what PSI is it? anything around 8 psi and under you should be good w/ a stock head gasket but don't hold me to it. pushing anything more then that you're going to blow the head gasket. also i don't see a blow off valve in this install? is there a bypass valve? blow through MAF? were is all the built up pressure going? give him this list because if he doesn't have this, somethings going to go boom.

I told him to grow up , because what he said WAS immature. I didn't say his automotive knowledge was incorrect

So if I reply to a post of yours implying you don't know what you're talking for no good reason, then you're perfectly OK with that and don't consider it Immature?? LOL!

Have a nice day
