Never needed to know but now I do question

OK, I bought a Saab and wish to keep the stock head.  It has a small nine channel amplifier/crossover splitting up the frequencies and sending it out to the various pairs of speakers.  If I wanted to go the "high input" route to get the signal to the amp, anyone pair I picked to tap into would be a filtered signal. So the big fat Q is...

Can I combine the speaker leads for my front tweets and the door mids together.  (From 2 pair into one pair) and send that signal into an external amplifier?

I'm just trying to get a fuller sound range signal to amplify on an external 2ch amp.

Thanks, Jason

Doing that would probably smoke something.

Unfortunately if you want to keep the stock HU, you'll need to use a 4 channel amp and keep the factory crossover points.

Sounds like a nightmare though.....
