 RE AUDIO components

So I'm putting 2 sets of the xxx series 6.5 competiton components in my trailblazer.  I was wondering what amp I should get for them.  The person I'm getting them from wants to give me a US Amps xti 800.4 amp.  Thing is that its only 50rms x 4 at 4ohms, which is what the speakers are running (4 ohms) and the speakers are 150rms and 300max...I'm getting the speakers at $260 a set and he wants to charge me $225 for the amp.  I know US Amps are great amps but I don't know if it'll be sufficient power.  Anyone with RELEVANT experience with these amps or components, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

He also said he would send me the 1600.2 version instead of the 800.4.  Would I be able to split the channels and run it into 4 speakers.  Thanks in advance

First off the amps won't work. You should get two small 2ch amps in the 150watt range. Also the XXX comps are 2ohm speakers.

True, misread the specs, theyre 2 ohms each, so then the 800.4 should work, why wouldn't it?  100 rms for 4 channels, a little underpowered but it should do the trick.

That 800.4 amp is 199$ at woofersetc.   Doesn't say if it will bridge to 2 ohms (unless you plan to actively crossover).  4 channels at 2 ohms would probably be good, 2 channels at 2 ohms may not go too well.

Do you think I should go with that amp, since I am putting in some top quality components I don't want to under power them.  I know US amps make good quality amps but I don't know if it would fully power them.  The other thing is I saw a Rockford Punch 800.4...said 200 rms x 4 at 2 ohms, all the reviews said its an old school beast.  When it was called the 800a4 or whatever, its the old one.  Which one do you think I should roll with?

Found a kicker 850.4 for 2 bills flat, it was a great deal so I couldn't pass it up.

If you have the money and some of the best amps I have seen on them XXX comp speakers are the USAmp hybrid tube amps. 1 of the 2ch for each is what everyone runs on them. Super clean and even though its way over powered the speakers take it. If you have clean power you should do a min of 150rms per side per Xover. Xover are kinda cheep for such a nice setup but works well.

Why one amp per side?  Couldn't a 2ch amp power both speakers?  I'm considering getting the XXX's but I don't have room for a third amp.  If I don't get the XXX's I'm going back to Diamond HEX's.

Right on, I knew I probably misread your post, however, I have seen people run an amp per speaker.  I was really happy with my RE SX sub; I'm excited to try their components.  I never got a chance to really bring the HEX's to life before they were stolen so I'm kind of leaning towards them again.
