pioneer D3 wont play videos off i pod
hi i have a pioneer head unit avic-d3 with the i pod cable and cannot get the video to come on only the audio. i called apple and the guy said the cable doesnt work because my i pod was the newest generation. So i tried a couple other i pods and still the same result. I heard the new i pod cord wont fit if there is one. If anyone has any knowledge it would awesome.

If your using the Pioneer ipod adapter CDI100II that plugs into the pbus input of the D3...you will not be able to view video. That adapter does not support video. In order to view video, you will need to purchase the cable that has L/R audio and video that plugs into the headphone slot of the ipod, and then run that into the aux input of the D3...that's the only way my friend.

Thanks i was looking at that at best buy, they had an apple one for 25 and a monster cable one for 50 but i wanted to find out what i needed to do 1st. Thanks for the heads up

where to get
the piece i was looking at the best buy actually is the ipod connection to the audio video plugs, do you have any ideas where to find this, radio shack had one for a camera to tv, wich are the same but it was not ipod adaptable, any ideas?

You could try ebay...or if you have an apple store in your area, they would definately have one there.

I called the apple store and they had no clue, im starting to think about replacing the deck but i really like the model, But ill keep trying where do I get the 09 navi desc sets at?

check sonicelectronix pac makes an adapter that goes from the actual ipod dock port to the rcas that works great on most decks. either way they have both types really cheap.

thanks, I found a simular adapter at best buy that connects to the ipod on the bottom not the headphone jack. I was just waiting to here some answers like these before I bought it and tore the dash apart, again so thanks ill try that if not ill try again
