not sure whats wrong

i've been away for a while (Iraq) got back and my new install is not going as planed. I'll start with the Equipment,

2001 gmc sierra x-cab

head unit- jvc kd ar880, with the pac onstar harness

4 channel- pheonix gold xs4300

sub amp- crunch p1000.1

wired with a 4ga to 8ga to the amps, this is the first install that things are not going as planned. only the front inter connects proudece sound to all speakers front and rear. the sub amp sounds like it's under water. i've checked the wiring trice and can't figure out the problem.

my gut tells me the HU's line outs are bad, because all but the pheonix gold are new. i've done many installs and this one is stumping me. if any one has any ideas I'd love to hear them.

Are the factory speaker wires still hooked up to the wire harness?

And which PAC harness are you using?A lot of those won't work with JVC head units.

the HU has been hooked up with the pac unit for about 7 months and is working good, i ran the speaker wires from the amp up to the dash and hooked them to the factory speaker leads. I know it's not ideal to do this but it has worked in every install i've done with no problems. what would make the amp sum all speakers to the front channel? when i checked the line out on the HU with different interconnects, only the front out is working. the sub out works just like i said though it sounds like it's under water. will be trouble shooting more today and will check often for more replies.

the PG amp's front and rear sensativity controls the speakers respectivly, which leads me to believe it is the HU that might be the problem. any thoughts?
