I took it back to the shop twice and they say everything checks out OK and they even redid all the connections to make sure it wasn't a bad connection somewhere and now they are saying it is the head unit.

When I bought this HU it didn't say HDRadio ready as I think the hd module wasn't available yet or was just being released and the salesman assured me the hdradio would work fine as it uses the ip-bus thingy to connect to the head unit the same way as the satleite radio does. 

anyway, I got the newer hdradio a little before x-mas and I was thinking maybe they made some changes that prevent it from working properly or maybe the head unit doesn't play well with the hdradio as it wasn't hdradio ready out of the box?

Anyone else have this issue or have a sugestion to fix my problem?

ps.. My head unit works fine in tuner mode (before the hdradio was added) and the cd works without issue as well.

I was hgoping someone has had this issue and had a simple fix.  maybe I'll try a newer model.  I've been looking at the double-din GPS unit, but they are very expensive.  It may take a few months to save up and maybe the older units will go on sale if they do come out soon.
