Is this a good head unit?

Im looking at the pioneer DEH-P7200HD. This head unit looks sleek and comes with a built in HD radio witch is sick. Is this a pretty good head unit? I will be using it for cds, radio, and most of the time my ipod. Thank you

SicAudio would say YES!!! If it has a built-in hd radio, then I'll say it's very good considering an hd radio tuner costs between $80-200 separately. HD radio technology is cool in that some of the stations run hd radio channels alongside the analog stations and since it's free and for now, there's no FCC regulations that would force everyone ot switch to HD, it's pretty cool. I hear that the AM stations are in stereo with the hd stations so you don't get that nasty mono effect.

I went ahead and got it since HD radio is a big thing for me and this unit is going to be much better than my stock 1996 head unit regardless. Im not looking for a super fantastic top of the line head unit since all I have in my truck are stock speakers (which are surprisingly good) that I will be upgrading eventually, and 2 JL audio 12" subs. This unit is perfect for me and is super easy to use with an ipod. And it has a front loading cd player :)

as long as it works for you, you shouldn't have to be forced to buy more expensive head units because they look cooler than the base model. I've got the excelon x-493 because it works for me. I pretty much only hook up my zune 80gb using the aux port and a 32gb flash drive with the front usb input so I have no need for a motorized faceplate or one with 64bit colors. The bluetooth and HD radio module come separate and I hardly listen to the radio to begin with!
