 Orion 2500d. Strappable?

I've got one Orion 2500d hooked up to two Orion HCCA 10.4's (DVC 4)  I'm looking into getting a second 2500d.

I'm not too fond of "strapping" amps together, so I just want to make sure I know what I'm doing before I get a second one.

These amps ARE strappable, right?

Since I'm almost sure they are strappable, WHAT NUMBERS CAN THESE AMPS DO STRAPPED?

Also, HOW do you 'strap' two amps together? Specifically, the Orion 2500d's.

Thanks fellas,

Z

This amp does have the master/slave option switch.

I know these amps put out 1700 wrms at 2ohms and 2500 at 1ohm.

So would that mean if I had a second amp, strapped, that each sub would only see 1700 watts? Being that "strapped" it'd be a 2 ohm load.

DOES STRAPPING AN AMP PRODUCE MORE WATTAGE?

I've got dvc 4ohm subs x2. My amp right now is seeing 1ohm. And obviously IF my amp is putting out 2500 watts at 1 ohm then each sub is getting 1250.

I'm just not sure if the extra 500 watts I'd get to each sub by adding a second amp would make that much of a difference.

WOULD 500 more watts make a BIG difference?

You've basically said what I've suspected. I figured that since I have dual 4's that it wouldn't be worth getting a second amp.

So... I'm going to look into trading my dual 4's for dual 2's.

I appreciate your time, Maximus.
