which amp for an old 12" infinity kappa perfect
i have http://www.crutchfield.com/S-KWOf6AHBKnU/p_108PER121/Infinity-Kappa-Perfect-12-1.html
it's a 12" 4-ohm, w/ a listed 75-350 rms.
i only have factory components, so i don't care for too much boom. i was told JBL makes solid little amps. what are some of the best bang-for-your-buck amps these days? i don't want too much; actually, the cheapest "good" amp is preferred.
are MTX, rockford fosgate, kicker still good choices?
thanks!

well whats your price range? be specific. To some of us the best "cheapest" amp could cost 500.00 lol. Is that sub a DVC or SVC and what ohm sub is it? Im not familiar with infinity subs.

Ah, yea, my price range is < $150.
My sub is an Infinity Kappa Perfect 12" (SVC, 4 ohms, avg rms of 75-300 watts).
I care for sound quality more than anything else. Obviously, I'm not expecting anything too stellar since I don't want to spend more than $150, heh. But, I was thinking maybe of:
- xtant 1.1
- phoenix gold rsd300.1
Any other suggestions? I'd prefer a class D amp.
What other namebrands make quality amps?
Thanks!

if you want sound quality more look into a normal class AB 2-channel amp that, when bridges, makes 300rms. all 2 channel's when bridged make power at 4 ohm. should be alot of options in your price range if you look around online good

thanks taylorpro!
i just grabbed a nice, old-school xtant 202m off ebay for $58. it's a 2-channel amp, but thanks to your suggestion, i looked into it and saw that it produces 200 watts x 1 channel when bridged!
sweet. back when i used to have a system 8 yrs ago, i always lusted after xtants. now i finally get to have a tiny, old one :-D
