1 three channel or 3 smaller amps?

Currently have two FUBAR twelves. Getting a third and wasnt sure if I should use one monster amp or a single amp on each one. any ideas?

one amp will cost less than three.and it'll be easier to set your gains and filters

what is the rms of the subs and at what impedance?

800watt RMS at 4 ohms. have a us amps 150X powering two of these subs. not real sure of the amps rms, but the amp is rated for 2 ohm stable

the subs are dual voice coils too right? if so to get the most from them a mono amp that is 1600w @ 1ohm would push them at their rms.

the amp you have i found the specs from 1999, and im not sure if its the same or different from your model, the specs are

150w x 2@ 4ohm, 250w x 2@ 2ohm and 500w x 1@ 4ohm

it is a nice amp but you need a bigger amp!!

something like a Hifonics BXI 1601D it does 1600w@ 1ohm and would be perfect for those subs!!

it doesnt have to be that amp just one with similar rms output. to run three 4ohm dvc would wire down to 2.67ohms, good luck finding an amp that will play 2400w at that ohm load(very expensive!)not to mention having to do a couple electrical upgrades like a h/o alt, a big battery or a few smaller ones, and the big three for sure.

im not too sure about that.if you have the two fubars getting the correct amp will give you 1600w rms, you just need the right amp.

The hifonics txi 7506 is only 750w x 1ch @ 1ohm, so it wouldnt push your subs, and also I lookedfor the PA 15''s. i only found the PA MOFO15, which are rated 1500rms.

so i think those subs are way too big for that amp, (i know you can put it on), but its just not the right set up ya know?!  either wait for the right amp for your fubars, or get your friends setup and find a 3000w amp PPPPPPOWER!       let me know if those PA subs are diff from what i saw, oh yeah and they were 2ohm dvc which would give you a .5,2, or 8ohm load.
