For some reason my headunit cuts out.

When I turn the Volume past 20 it cuts out as soon as the bass hits. I'm kind of new to all this so any suggestion would be nice. Thanks

Double check all the connections. Did you use an adapter to tap into the factory wiring?

I used to have that problem.

In my case my alt was not very strong and the current requirement for the sub amp dropped the car's voltage to 11.8 or so.  Apparently the HU was more sensitive to the voltage drop than the amps and it would shut down.  When I replaced the failed 75A alt w/a 110A alt the problem went away.

May not be your problem, but it's a possibility.

1) Any loose wires 2) How low is that amp stable to? (1-, 2- or 4-Ohms) Also how do yo have it wired? (stereo, bridged or is it a mono?) 3) Where are the gains? It's not a volume knob, so you can't go Hog-wild with them or they draw more power than the amp can produce. ====================== Search Engine Optimisation | SEO Company

What is the deck playing into? Speakers, amps, processor, the unknown?
