same kind of issue with the ground when you hear a loud thump or crack when you turn on the head unit. Friend of mine had a kenwood head unit installed on his 2005 mustang gt and it would emit a loud crack every time he'd turn on the head unit. He grew accustomed to it, but I told him he should've gone back to the car audio shop to fix it.
