If you are not a professional installer, do not use this product.

I would have an authorized Zapco installer put it in replacing the I-Force 4100 that fried. Would you care to explain further ?

I-FORCE is going to ruin the Zapco reputation. Its true that they are made over seas. However, the product still has a real high current potential. Without a Authorized install, there's no warranty, you get nothing if it fries. With it, at least for the time period, you're covered. Frying a 4100 had to have been done by using it to play subs. If not, then whoever did the install had botched something, somewhere, but a 4100 running high's would last ages. Also, the way they fuse the electronics of the amp, its a rarity that all channels of a multi chan amp blow. How/what was it hooked up/to?

It was connected to a pair of seperates and 1 10"  sub all running at 4ohms never pushed past 2/3rds vol. What fried was the power supply just before the 3 year warrenty was up. My installer said he had never seen this type of fry (20 +years) Zapco repaired it but I started having trouble in 1 channel after awhile and also after the warrenty expired. I saw what "melted" in the original fry and its my belief that other components were damaged from it and that the whole amp should have been replaced. If you don't recommend the I-Force what amp would you suggest in the $350 range ?

Excessive high current, from voltage drops. That's unfortunate.... What size cable did he run for power and ground? What battery do you have? Whats the battery's "Ah" or "CCA" rating? What type of vehicle, sub and enclosure?
