 Kenwood USB cord?

Hey everyone, Im going to get myself a little christmas gift. the Kenwood KDC-X794 (http://www.crutchfield.com/s_113KDCX794/Kenwood-Excelon-KDC-X794.html?search=Kenwood+VENDORID113&tp=5684) If you go to the link provided. then you will see that it is usb compatable, but in the pictures it shows a USB connector bracket in the back of the unit, would i be able to just plug my USB into that, or would i need to buy an extra cabel? thanks guys

You can just run a standard USB cable from the jack to your Ipod. For the price that is one great sounding hu you got.

I just used my USB for the first time today. (Kenwood KDC-BT945U) I put a USB ext. cord on the one coming out of the back of the HU. Ran that out of the dash in a nice spot, so now if I mess up the end coming out of the dash it is a easy fix. I loaded a flash drive with 300+ songs and so far it works great. This new age stuff is the tits!!!

The cord is actually long enough on mine to reach into the glovebox.

not sure if they changed it on the x794 or x994, but on the x-493 and x-494, they limited using thumb drives to 32gb. I hooked up a 64gb usb thumb drive formatted to fat32 and tried putting 50gb and it only recognized 32gb. Plus the x-493 and x-494 would only read up to 255 folders and 250 files in each folder.

I'm hoping the x794 and x994 are different because I'm planning on getting the x994 in the future
