 Bass acting up

I got two jl audio 500/1s, only one hooked up, even though I split the remote and have a extra pair of rcas, but still just one working, and when the volume is up loud, the bass cuts out and goes to the speakers, so like shutting off, but the whole time the green power stays on, any clue?

Hahaa, aaaah dam bass, I hate it when it acts up. When I was a kid we use smack our bass with a ruler and give it a timeout in the corner. Hey man, when a person performs a install, there are certain guidelines and parameters that he/she follows. By doing so, correctly, that person is often relieved of the very predicament you find yourself in now. There are 25 places that something can be wrong which could cause this. News Flash: Car audio is more than just hooking this to that and doing this and that. Or maybe it isn't. I don't know. Do you understand the concept of "verify on known good"? If you have two amps, and they both do the same thing. THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE AMP:)...eh..em.. Excuse me, so, CLUE, try that....

Well I figured it out anyway after pulling out the cd player twice, and fixed the problem, the remote leads for the cd player end and the remote lead to the amp kept coming loose, got rid of the plastic/,metal tip on the cd player end (I bent it had the day of the install) and just stripped it down. The leads should hold now, for now. And no both amps aren't doing it, seeings how I only have one fully wired up still, i have the wires for the other amp, just been way to cold to run them.

Right on bro, you got it. Problem is, the connection would be responsive to bumps in the road before acting up by shutting off when the volume goes up. As well, the little green light wont be on when the wire is disconnected, shorting, interrupted.<----- this makes no sense....a bad remote would mean that NO lights are on. From now on, every connection you make, tug on the wires connected and see if they are really together or not. If they pull apart, redo it until they dont.

Yeah I had a feeling it was that, i just wanted to make sure it wasn't anything else. And yeah your right, usually i check all the wires, at the time those remotes seemed tight, i clamped them and taped them. But now it should be good, really taped it good. On a side note, my girl got me zip ties for christmas, so maybe I can go to my unclear garage and clean up the install a bit

Now we are talkin man. Lie to me, if need be. Hearing that restores my faith in humanity. If you need some input on any install issues, take some pics and we'll be here to direct ya the right way. Other than that, at a kid, you're thinking like a tech now.
