Are you saying 3750 watts is too much for one 12inch speaker?
what sic meant was that there are subs that will survive 4k rms such as HCCA subs

ya its just easier to say 4kw over 4000watts, and i understand the trolling thing meaning that he is trying to sound amazing or make him seem high end on the forum but he really is clueless and has nothing of any real magnitude, if he posted an amp model number or something of that nature his story would be much more believable, but 7500watts requires a massive alternator backing and battery bank as well as some large gauge runs of wire all are very expensive, and to say that he is running all of that to 2 Dual 12"s its just not true. those dual subs are the bottom of the bottom of the barrel to put power like he was talking to them would have destroyed them in seconds why spend the money for a 7.5k amp ($1000.00+ just for the amp alone) and only have $50.00 subs ??? that is why sic posted troller

Hey how do you know how much db an amp will play each frequency in relation to your volume nob? Like for example if you had a sub and amp and just played a reciever to it and played some music it would recieve all the frequencies from 20-20000hz which is bad so if you cut it off say at 100hz how loud does it play 100hz and how loud does it play 20hz in relation to the voltage not the actual volume you preceive listening to the speakers and box?

there are hundreds of variables to that... you are asking way too much...you just need to do what I told you and go to ashop and listen to subs in person...

A sub that only needs 300 watts rms would be a great match.

generally subs in cars are played between the frequency ranges of 20hz-100hz roughly. most music does not really utilize lower than like 25hz at the lowest and some where around that 25hz range is where most sub sonic filters kick in. i personally run from somewhere around 30hz to 80hz and that works well for me. it all depends on the box and what sub and what ranges that combo can encompass. i imagine that some guys have there sub stretching up to 120hz it all just depends. i know every car sub worth anything sucks much beyond 100hz and unless you have 4 18"s or 8 12"s much below 25hz is hard to hear or feel with any magnitude. a good set of mids can handle from about 100hz up pretty good and done right you can get them to swing 80hz or i suppose lower if properly aligned.
