I like JVC arsenal series but Pioneers are still better...just ask Damon...( iirc ) he got a 7200HD switched from a JVC and it is night and day...Pioneer spanks all the other NAME brands out there in the mainstream market....including Alpine..

hey i happen to love my alpine cda-117 $267, even though i havent listened to the pioneer yet, but it is a very clear clean unit with easy to use functions and comes with the ipod cord and a long usb which i use to listen to my music on a psp go. I also like the black out function and the ability to turn off the internal amplifier. even if it is made in china!

the 105 and 117 are both good decks... i just prefer pioneer... the new models have never failed me and they are japanese/thailand made... far better build quality imo...and fwiw the pioneer have defeatable IC circuits too ;)
