Beginner looking for advice on new unit

Hello, I have an '06 Chevy Malibu whose cd player is failing (wont take or eject, and struggles to read for a few minutes before it locks the unit entirely) and one of the rear speakers is buzzing.  Everything is still factory in it.

I'm looking to add a sub and amp in the future so I need to find something able to take them right?  It doesnt need to be HD compatable, I dont use bluetooth, but I do want a front USB (better then just an aux right?).  I'd like to keep it around $150, and would prefer to get it from Walmart as I get 10% off from them.

The main one's I was looking at were Sony Xplods, which seemed to have all I'm looking for and looked the nicest, but would love suggestions if anything is going to be better.

I am not looking for anything high end, nor do I see myself continuially upgrading once I get all I need.  I just want something reasonably priced, well made, and be a bit of an upgrade from my factory system.

Also should I worry about compatability with my car?  I plan on getting the more expensive harness so I can keep all the other display info my car has, and it also has radio controls on the steering wheel.

Thanks for your time, and sorry for my ignorance about it all!

stay as far away from sony as possible dude... walmart sells a pioneer unit for around 140-160 that does what you need and almost all pioneers in that range have steering wheel control options

What's wrong with Sony?  Every other place I've read about them says theyre decent for their price.
