Clarion NZ500 skips around FM stations

We recently bought a Clarion NZ500 nav receiver along with modules for HD radio and Sirius for my wife's car. Seems to be working except for one thing. Most of the time in the car she listens to a particular FM station. When she turns off the car, comes back later and starts it up, the radio comes up on a different FM station. It's driving her nuts. Is this probably an issue with some kind of mode we haven't noticed or figured out? Or could it be a defect?

It sounds like you don't have your 12 volt constant wire hooked up properly. Do you notice that your settings go away every time the car turns off? That constant line is there to save all the memory/settings on the HU. So if your HU completely loses power than it wouldn't remember what station you were on before.

Thanks for the reply. The unit does keep the correct clock time and stored station presets. I thought I might fish around to check the yellow wire, and if connected maybe temporarily disconnect it to see if this results in a helpful reboot.
