I've started to adjust the bass boost only for the sub, but I only gently increase the settings. Like Sic posted, it all has to do with how you set your gains. Even so, I set it to "0" when powering component speakers.

yea i got my ap1800 set with a o-scope, with bass boost set, only thing this amp is powerful, but it did get real hot.. when i wasnt using boost it only got just a tad warm... come across a crescendo bc/2000, 10 times more quailty of a amp...

it got hot because they are crap amps...and don't bank on that Crescendo being alot better... they use the same quality of parts inside.... better made and designed than AP by alot but still a low cost amp to build...and cheap parts are still cheap parts and fail alot easier than good parts do..

yea it got real hot.. but that son of a gun was beating like a b"""h. Ive heard alot of good talk about the crescendo.... they are much better than the last amps. I have done talk to over 20 people and they all thumbs up on the crescendo. I have seen the guts on the amp,, it dont look nothing like a ap amp, looks more like a sundown....

the old AP amps were badass amps... the new stuff is the junk... that Crescendo 3kwp is a good amp for the cost... it is a lower quality copy of a SAZ3000....but I would still never buy 1...I know far too many people that actually DO know wtf all those parts inside really are that all say they are gonna start to fail...and some already have started.....nothing even close to Sundown quality....just a copy of a copy...
