 old school xtant

Found old school xtant 3 channel amp. Guy told me it was made buy one off the original guys from ppi. 8-10 apperance and in good working condition. They are asking $200. What do you guys think about the deal. It oringinally sold for $999. I think it's a 3300c. It does 80x2 and 300x1.

Those amps have a kinda cult following. The one thing about them that i don't like is the interchangeable module feature kinda like the Hifonics Gen X amps. Finding different ones could be a chore. A few threads at DIY on that amp. Some for sale.

The manual.

It seems that the 3300c and x were identical except for the finish.

I tried to send you an email with pics of the amp. Did you get it? I can't swear it's a 3300c but it is rated to do 80 x 2 + 300 x 1 at 2 ohms. So do you think it's a good deal?

That's what they seem to sell for on DIY. Ampguts says 75 x 2 and 150. Still fused at 100 amps so I would say it's rather underrated.

That amp at 2ohms is actually 150x2 plus 300x1. My only problem as of now is I don't know which crossover moduel they have in it. I'm hoping around 80 to 90hz. I talked to the guys at xtant and they can still repair those amps but don't sell the modules any more. But if the settings are right and I think he will sell it to me for 150 I'm probably going to get it.

If you do pick up the amp and need additional SIP chips...I have a $@#& load of them from When I was an Xtant dealer years ago.  You certainly won't be disappointed with the sound quality of this unit.  I used to run an X604 and X1001, and they were some of the best sounding amps I've used.  The only downfall to them is thier size (they are huge monsters).  And a word of advice, never open the shroud while the amp is connected to power (all it takes is one loose strand of wire to touch the wrong spot on the board and poof...no more amp).

Man that's awsome!! I'll hit you with a private message if I need one. I'm really excited about this install. Image dynamics has a 2ohm component set that I'm going to use for my mids and highs and then I'm going to run an IDQv3 sub. I'm not sure if I'm going with a 10" or 12". I'm not sure how underated the amp is but I'm guessing it will push about 400w to the sub so it would probably push the 10" better.

Good news....I believe this is pre Mitek and holy hell that amp cost an arm and a leg when it was new. Also hooking up with an old xtant dealer is truly stepping in shit.
