 New to this-general questions

Hey guys, some Im kinda new to this whole thing but understand that I will need a head unit, amp, and subs, and wires for the whole system to work. Now I want to spend about $250-$350 on everything and was thinking about maybe 2 12' kickers in a ported box. maybe just a single 12' but i was thinking kicker. something like these: http://orlando.craigslist.org/ele/2510615868.html second what amp is the best for what i have for money? the subs would cost like $125. Also do i really need a head unit? i know this is probably an obvious question but thought id ask. i hear pioneer does some of the best hu. then how much does instalation usually cost? nothing special, just gonna throw the subs in the trunch of my 09 altima, Thanks guys

IMO kicker is a bad choice. Pioneer's low end is still a great hu. And buying low end subs off craigslist is also a bad idea. Do you have fully stock electrical?

http://www.audioque.com/NEW-Street-Duty-SDC20-8-D4-Subwoofer-_p_69.html try 2 of these 12''s on this http://www.audioque.com/AQ1200D-Amplifier_p_30.html will bring you to $410 plus wiring  , http://www.woofersetc.com/p-6833-spk5641r-stinger-4-gauge-amplifier-wiring-kit-1400-watt.aspx plus installation( appx. $60-$80/hr. labor). I would save more $$ or try to find a good deal on some pawnshops. Personally i wouldnt do craigslist, too many rip-offs and stolen stuff, but to each is their own.Oh yeah dont forget the box!!

and no, you dont NEED a h/u but having one will sound cleaner. If you decide not to use one there are other installation accessories to let you keep the stocker.

yeah kickers aren't that great. There are other subs that are better in playing the low 30's. I've had a pair of cvr's and they were loud but not low enough.
